You are a 10-year-old Jewish child living in Germany. You live with your mom and dad and two siblings. While life can be difficult with a younger brother and sister, you love your family. I guess you could say up until now you have lived a very normal life. But that all changes quickly. Over the next six months, little rights start getting taken away. First, Jews are no longer allowed to hold governmental positions. Then you and your siblings are not allowed to attend school. Then you are banned from certain restaurants. Life in your hometown is becoming unbearable.
Tonight, though, your family has been ordered by German soldiers to pack up and move from your home into a house in a different area of town. Maybe life there is better? You need to make the call. Should you pack up and move or try to leave the country completely? Either way, you can't stay here.
